Duane Mass, founder and former president of Mass Architects, started his career with several of the largest practices in the region. During his time with these offices, he worked on projects valued at $250 million across several continents–all in the pursuit of expanding his architectural prowess.
In 1994, Duane started the offices of Mass Architects with a passion and determination to provide customer service and attention to detail. By upholding these values, the client can achieve the best possible solution for their unique projects. His contributions to the field of Architecture in the state of Oklahoma will never be forgotten.
Duane served as the resident historic preservation architect within the office and has worked on several award-winning HP projects. As the Oklahoma State Capitol Architect and Curator, he focused on the rehabilitation of the Oklahoma Capitol building. This project culminated in a $120 million program to completely restore the offices of our state government, passed as HB1910 in 2013.
Duane was a member of the American Institute of Architects, a Registered Architect, and licensed in 6 states. He held a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Oklahoma State University. During his time at OSU, he received the Alpha Rho Chi medal for merit in architecture. He went on to win multiple awards and was named the 2013 Architect of the Year by the American Subcontractors Association.
